Psycho-Oncology Matters
The Supportive Services Program's Medical Director is a trained psychiatrist who works with other physicians and clinical professionals to provide key psycho-oncology support for patients, family members, and friends experiencing depression, anxiety, and hopelessness. Services include:
- Psychiatric Evaluations and Follow-up Referrals
- Medication Management
- Crisis Intervention
- Psychopharmacological Treatment
- Individual Psychiatric Counseling for Patients Living with Cancer, their Family and Caregivers
- Psycho-Social Oncology Training for Hospital Residents and other In-Patient Clinical Staff
- Patient Education Seminars and Workshops
- Staff Education Seminars and Workshops
- Pain Management and Palliative Care
- Consultations with Physicians and Clinical Staff
- Coordination With Inpatient Services
